FROM NETWORK TO ALLIANCE - THE MDA IS BORN

In November 2001, with a public launch at the Futurallia International Business Development Forum in Poitiers, Europartnerships' international network of associates was formally reconstituted as the Market Development Alliance or MDA. Conceived as a strategic alliance of collaborating organisations with a shared ethos and working methodology, the MDA now comprises 24 members based in 15 countries across Europe and the Americas.

The MDA's principal objective is to assist companies to develop their export markets through the provision of practical market intelligence and the identification of potential sales partners and customers. A comprehensive range of services underpins this objective - from 'on the ground' export sales support to telemarketing, linguistic support, in-depth market research and assistance with financing.

As internationalisation specialists, the MDA also works in partnership with SME support agencies such as Trade Councils, Business Links, Trade and Development Agencies and Chambers of Commerce, providing services such as export development programmes, training and mentoring, trade missions, matchmaking events and project management.
