For the third year running, Europartnerships will work with the Trade Council to deliver their ‘flagship’ export development programme for Icelandic exporting companies. Designed to follow on from the long established UH programme for beginners in export, the 2008/2009 UTSTIM programme supports participants as they prepare for the search, selection and effective management of agents and distributors, as well as participation in an export project focusing on a selected overseas market. This year 18 companies are taking part. In previous years, successful UTSTIM projects have been undertaken in Germany, Japan, Mexico, the Nordic countries and UK, amongst other markets. 18 companies have previously taken part in UTSTIM programmes during 2006-2008 with positive results.
